And whereas these stones don’t look practically nearly as good as those on my entrance porch skirting, and so they’re clearly not an actual match for the unique stone (since I used two utterly completely different processes to make them), I’m okay with that. This door isn’t the focus of the entrance of our home. Our porch is front-and-center, and it’s the focus of the entrance of our home, so I wished these stones on the entrance porch to be an actual match. This door is off to the aspect, so it received’t get practically as a lot consideration. And from a distance, I don’t suppose anybody will discover or be capable to inform that these stones aren’t authentic, or that they’re not an ideal match to the unique stones. As soon as they’re mortared, primed, and painted, I believe they’ll mix in completely.

I’m so happy with how that is turning out. I went from hating how this door seemed on the surface to loving it!
