Back Home And Trying To Regroup

We’re again residence, y’all! I’m so sorry that I wasn’t right here yesterday with an replace. I do know a lot of you have been involved about Matt based mostly on the feedback and emails I received, and whereas I had excellent intentions of writing a quick replace simply to let y’all understand how he was doing, I simply couldn’t appear to get it collectively yesterday to make that occur.

Anyway, Matt is doing very nicely. He was within the hospital from about midnight on Friday evening till about 1:30 yesterday afternoon with a UTI that led to sepsis. It was a tough and exhausting few days as a result of, as I’m certain all of you realize very nicely, getting good sleep in a hospital is just about unimaginable with nurses coming in each couple of hours, flipping on the lights to take vitals, swap out IVs, give meds, and many others.

So by the point we left the hospital yesterday, I used to be so exhausted that I felt like I used to be strolling round in a dream state. I introduced Matt residence, received him located and cozy, after which received us some lunch. By the point we have been completed with lunch, I couldn’t maintain my eyes open any longer, so I slept. Y’all, I took a 2.5-hour nap. On a Tuesday. I’m not a nap type of individual in any respect, however taking a nap on a weekday is extraordinary for me. However after 4 nights of horrible, interrupted sleep, I had no alternative.

Anyway, I awakened this morning hoping to be absolutely rested and able to go in order that I might get again to work on the lobby. I don’t really feel rested in any respect, and I don’t really feel able to get again to work, however I’m going to do it anyway. I’m so near being completed with the lobby that I’m hoping my pleasure about getting it completed will assist me make some progress right now.

So selecting up the place we left off final Friday, right here’s the punch record for what must occur to get this space fully completed. I have to…

• Transfer the cable for the router,
• Patch the little gap within the ceiling,
• Add the trim contained in the closet doorway to complete off the sting of the wallpaper…

• Paint one other coat of white paint on the toilet/storage closet doorways,
• Set up doorknobs on the toilet/storage closet doorways,
• Both reframe the chapel image in a bigger and extra eye-catching body or add sconces flanking the image,
• Sew the fowl pillow,
• Add a brand new pillow insert to the pink pillow.

• End repairing the patched ceiling (sand, prime, paint),
• Add doorknobs/handles to the French doorways,
• Add privateness movie to the glass on the French doorways.

And aside from giving the realm a superb cleansing (cleansing the ground, cleansing the air consumption vent, and many others.), I feel that’s it! I made a decision to depart the partitions flanking the toilet/storage closet doorways clean…for now. I actually love the view of that wall from inside my closet with simply the grasscloth and wainscoting. As soon as I get the lobby completed and get the closet cleaned up, I’ll present you that view.
